RADIATION THERAPY FORÂ MYCOSIS FUNGOIDES
ABOUT
Mycosis Fungoides is the most common type of Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma, which is a cancer that causes the body's immune system to attack the skin. Mycosis Fungoides can affect the skin all over the body, or it may only affect the skin in certain areas of the body. The skin's reaction to Mycosis Fungoides can be similar to a rash, with redness and itchiness. Other types of reactions include scaly, dry patches or skin tumors. These skin reactions are often uncomfortable and require treatment for symptom relief. Radiation is a very effective method of treatment for Mycosis Fungoides and can provide up to 72 weeks of symptom relief.
